we trade examples of atrocities
because we don't really feel anything
arguing for some moral high ground
but actually we are as brutal

just not blamed yet nor subjugated
but in all things like depravity and cruelty
supply their own intimate sufferings
on those who have no common sense

to even do the most basic kindness
with a feeling of generosity or mercy 
part of the inferno in all of our hearts
is quelled of hell for the rest of us

then banished
all fallen ways into
