looking back
when
i wanted to write poems
like supermodels on runways
strutting their stuff
or write poems like
battleships full speed ahead
through ominous curtails of smoke
i wrote poems
that were barbie dolls
with no genitalia
and wrote poems
like a wooden toy boat in a
tepid bath
