for the scratches that you made
or other marks that appear to smooth out
but are in fact eternal ripples
like every breath you took and every footstep
along all the journeys you took
through every happy or sad moment
on through every hope and doubt
none of us are ever forgotten
linked back to the first seed thought
back to the beginningless beginning
back to complete purity
as we seem to go out we in turn
are going back to complete purity
