Rejected by the New Yorker

Three of my poems were rejected by the New Yorker. Yay! I'm waiting to hear back from Poetry Magazine, I have four poems off to them. Getting a poem published in either, for me, would be like a squirrel from my backyard getting a gold in weightlifting at the next Olympics.

Hey, I hear an actual rejection from the New Yorker is almost as impressive as an acceptance (you know, except the money, prestige, groupies, etc). Some people just never get a response [raising my hand]. So congrats! Good luck with Poetry Magazine. I'm glad to know you're sending the poetry out. Only a matter of time now.

Thanks for the comment! We'll see. No word still from Poetry Magazine, so I hope that means they have it in the "possibles" pile. It's great the New Yorker now accepts email submissions.
